Marine-grade plywood?
Marine plywood is good-quality, hardwood plywood that is made using waterproof glue. These factors are what make this plywood acceptable for building boats and boat parts. Marine plywood is not waterproof, and it is not rot-resistant or treated with any chemicals.

Waterproof Glue
The main benefit that makes marine plywood great for boat usage is that it is made with waterproof glue. If the plywood gets exposed to moisture, humidity, or boiling temperatures the glue won’t break or separate therefore keeping the wood layers together.

Glues used in exterior and marine plywood are described as WR / WP Most of these glues will be either melamine or phenolic. Phenolic glue is generally more water-resistant and used in higher grade plywood whereas melamine is lower grade and will hit a boiling/melting point sooner than phenolic
